2008 Awards Ceremony

At a superb buffet dinner in Stumbles on September 30th Chamber president, Peter Tonks presented awards to  nominated Sark citizens.

The awards presented were: Gemma Dewe as one of the youngest people to become involved in membership of the Sark Carnival Committee was awarded Young Citizen of the Year. The award was received on her behalf by her mother, Louise Dewe.

Martin Remfrey as Off-island Ambassador. The award was received on his behalf by Tony Ventress and a message from Martin was read out by Chamber secretary, Christine Audrain.

As one of Sark's unsung heroes, Michael Adams was awarded Citizen of the Year.

Kevin Delaney was awarded for his efforts to provide stable employment opportunities for many Sark families.

President's Award went to Sarah and Dave of Stumbles for the support they have given to the Lords' Taverners event.

Werner & Phyliss Rang were given Commercial Lifetime Achievement Award for their many years of trading and service to the comunity.

Pam Cocksedge was awarded Lifetime Achievement for her continuing work for charities.
